Farmers of Jharkhand will no longer have to wait for electricity for irrigation, nor will they have to spend petrol and diesel. Solar pumps will be given to 7940 farmers of the state by the state government. Agencies have been decided to install solar pumps. With this farmers will no longer have to face the problems of irrigation.
Solar pumps will be available on 96 percent subsidy
Solar pumps will be given to farmers in the state at 96 percent subsidy. In this, a subsidy of 66 percent will be given to the farmers by the state government agency Jereda. Apart from this, 30 percent grant will be given by the central government. Farmers will have to pay only four per cent of the amount. In this, farmers will have to pay Rs 3,000 for a two HP motor, Rs 5000 for a 3 HP motor and Rs 7,000 for a 5 HP motor. Whereas the cost of the motor ranges from two to two and a half lakh rupees.
Kisan Credit Card benefits agencies set up
State government agency Jereda has earmarked agencies to install solar pumps for farmers. These include Tata Power Solar Systems, Shree Altrona Energy Pvt Ltd, VRG Energy India Pvt Ltd, Shree Savitri Solar Pvt Ltd, Solex Energy Ltd and Pearl India Marketing Services Pvt Ltd.
Target to give KCC to 30 lakh farmers
The farmers of the state do not face any problem of money at the time of cultivation, so instructions have been given to give KCC to 30 lakh farmers of the state. All 30 lakh farmers registered under PM Kisan Yojana are being linked to KCC. During the financial year 2020-21, out of the current account of 13 lakh farmers of the state, 82421 new farmers were provided KCC. Till July 30 this year, 5,75,761 farmers have applied for KCC. The approval process is going on.
Target to give Kisan Credit Card benefits: to five lakh new farmers
The state government is working by setting a target of giving KCC to more and more farmers. In the year 2016-17, 5,57,993 farmers got the benefit of KCC, in 2017-18, 3,16,218 farmers and in 2018-19 1,55,953 farmers got the benefit of KCC. At the same time, in 2019-20, 5,01,527 farmers and till 31 March 2021, 8,67,609 farmers have got the benefit of KCC. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to provide KCC to Scheduled Castes, Tribes and landless farmers of the state.
